how to use size range in layered navigation as price range being used over there

Post By:user_2092 | Reply

I want to put a ‘size’ attribute in layered navigation. This attribute is not a dropdown or multiselect.
As price range is being used in the layered navigation, in the same way I want to use size range in the layered navigation.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Was this fixed? I have the same issue.

2 things:

1) If you use the price attribute in the backend it also uses the value as a money amount.
2) In the frontend it shows the currency sign.

Isn’t there a simpler way to use the field as integer or decimal?

Hello Steve,

Lately we added such feature to our Improved Navigation module. With its help you can create decimal attributes and display any measurement unit you need. Please see http://amasty.com/improved-navigation-price-slider.html for more details. Will this work for you?

Has anyone resolved this issue yet?
I am also using Category Input type <Price> for a Wattage option in my store with layered navigation on. However every value for this option displays with a <$> sign in the frontend. How do I get rid of <$> just for this option?

thanks!

Yes, the type “price” can be set global

The last problem remains is that a dollar sign are attached to each value of size wink

No, the size shouldn’t be affected by currency rate (but please check this), only display style in the layered navigation depends on the attribute type.

If the attribute type "price" is set for size

How to get rid of the dollar sign?

Also, if I run multi-site with different currency , the size of the product for each site should be the same, will the size attribute be affected by the currency rate?

hey, to add new attribute to the layered navigation and show it as the price, select type “Decimal” when creating the attribute. None of the existing extensions can show text attributes in the layered navigation.
